Opera Art Live
Doors open at 5:30 pm and Artists will begin creating their masterpieces at 6:00 pm!
Spend an evening strolling through both floors of the Historic Opera House for 7th Annual Opera Art Live, enjoying drinks from our cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres & desserts while observing artists creating art LIVE on location. The night will end with a silent auction of the artwork followed by an Artist Afterglow.
At 8:30 pm the artists will cease working, at which time the guests can place their final bids for their favorite piece. The bid sheets and art work will then be picked up and all moved to the main level and be set up on tables to find out who won the winning bid for the night. During this time we ask everyone to join our Artist for cocktails and conversation during the Artist Afterglow.

We have new dates for learning to play Mahjong at @Howell Opera House. Wednesday, April 24, Thursday, May 23, and Thursday, June 27, at 6:30 pm.
The Red Dragon Mahjong Social Club would like to thank Sharon Fisher and Blythe Patterson of the Livingston Arts Council for letting us use the space, chairs, card tables, etc., to get us started. We also would like to thank our excellent teacher, Richard Lim!
With a nominal investment of $5 per person paid at the door, you learn the ancient Mahjong game (Chinese rules), have fun, and make new friends.
Mahjong sets will be available. We encourage you to bring your set in case we're short. Game rules/cheat sheet provided.
We want to develop this into a game night affair that folks can plan on attending regularly.

Learn to Play Mahjong
We have new dates for learning to play Mahjong at @Howell Opera House. Wednesday, April 24, Thursday, May 23, and Thursday, June 27, at 6:30 pm.
The Red Dragon Mahjong Social Club would like to thank Sharon Fisher and Blythe Patterson of the Livingston Arts Council for letting us use the space, chairs, card tables, etc., to get us started. We also would like to thank our excellent teacher, Richard Lim!
With a nominal investment of $5 per person paid at the door, you learn the ancient Mahjong game (Chinese rules), have fun, and make new friends.
Mahjong sets will be available. We encourage you to bring your set in case we're short. Game rules/cheat sheet provided.
We want to develop this into a game night affair that folks can plan on attending regularly.

Heywood Banks - Saturday Night Show
Heywood Banks is simply one-of-a-kind, almost impossible to describe, with a style his very own. Equal parts genius and buffoon, this songwriter-comic-singer-poet-musician has become a cult hero and a pop icon, with a show that appeals to college students, stoners, businessmen, yuppies, rednecks, punks, kids, and/or your grandmother. He intersperses his humorous observations of life with twisted, inventive, bizarre songs, sung and played in a variety of styles - from folk, to country, to rock, to pop, and way beyond. You have to be pretty smart to get Heywood at his deepest level (he demands a high level of pop culture literacy), but you can also enjoy him just for his vocal style impersonations, expert musicianship and just plain silliness.
Doors will open at 6.45 pm; performance begins at 7:30 pm. There will be a cash/charge bar with light concessions available for purchase.
Admission is $40 for reserved front row seating / $36 for reserved second row seating / $33 for General Admission.
