Give Life to the Arts
Preserving history. Inspiring community. Building the future.
The Livingston Arts Council exists to bring the arts, culture, and community together through the historic Howell Opera House.
Your gift keeps this treasured landmark alive with performances, programs, and experiences that inspire generations.
Your gift supports:
Arts & Culture: Concerts, theatre productions, and community performances.
Youth Enrichment: Student art exhibits, classes, and volunteer opportunities.
Economic Vitality: Events that bring 80,000+ people downtown each year.
Historic Preservation: Restoration of our 1881 Opera House, a living piece of Michigan’s cultural history.
“When the lights come up, the Opera House comes alive. Every ticket, every class, every donation makes that possible.”
Current Priority: The Reawakening Season
The Reawakening Season marks the return of full theatrical productions to the Opera House stage, the first in more than 100 years.
Your donation today funds artist stipends, accessibility improvements, and continued preservation as we prepare to reopen the historic second floor.
Help Us Lift the Opera House — Literally!
Access matters. We DO NOT have an elevator, yet. As part of the Howell Opera House restoration, we’re working to install a new elevator that will open the historic second floor to everyone, audiences, artists, and community members alike.
Your gift helps make this dream a reality. Together, we can ensure that the arts are truly accessible to all.
