The Blue Water Ramblers are a five-piece Americana & Roots music band specializing in extraordinary folk music with contemporary themes in traditional stylings. We have new dates for learning to play Mahjong at @Howell Opera House. Wednesday, April 24, Thursday, May 23, and Thursday, June 27, at 6:30 pm.
The Red Dragon Mahjong Social Club would like to thank Sharon Fisher and Blythe Patterson of the Livingston Arts Council for letting us use the space, chairs, card tables, etc., to get us started. We also would like to thank our excellent teacher, Richard Lim!
With a nominal investment of $5 per person paid at the door, you learn the ancient Mahjong game (Chinese rules), have fun, and make new friends.
Mahjong sets will be available. We encourage you to bring your set in case we're short. Game rules/cheat sheet provided.
We want to develop this into a game night affair that folks can plan on attending regularly.

Hunger Hoot
Join us for Harvest Hunger Hoot-Michigan Folk Musicians Benefit Concert Fundraiser and Food Drive for Gleaners Community Food Bank. Artists include Annie and Rod Capps, Wanda Degen, Jan Krist, Matt Watroba, William Wyatt and Neil Woodward, Michigan’s Troubadour. We fellow artists believe access to decent food and water is a human right. Our American celebration of Thanksgiving is a call for all of us to share the bounty of a successful harvest! Michigan Bright Water Storytelling Festival
The 2nd annual festival will be at the Howell Opera House and the Howell Carnegie District Library in Howell, Michigan.
Throughout the day, Michigan Bright Water Storytelling Festival will host 3 engaging storytelling workshops, an open mic, and an evening concert at the Opera House.
There will also be a special afternoon Family Track with a concert, workshops and open mic at the Library.
