Opera Art Live
Doors open at 5:30 pm and Artists will begin creating their masterpieces at 6:00 pm!
Join us for an enchanting evening at the Historic Opera House for the 8th Annual Opera Art Live. Enjoy drinks from our cash bar along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and desserts as you watch artists create live artwork on location.
At 8:30 PM, the artists will stop working, allowing guests to place their final bids on their favorite pieces. The bid sheets and artwork will then be collected and displayed on tables on the main level, where we will reveal the winning bids for the night. The night will end with a silent auction featuring artwork, followed by an Artist Afterglow. We invite everyone to join the artists for cocktails and engaging conversation during this time.
General Admission $15; LAC MEMBERS $12

Learn to Play Mahjong
We have new dates for learning to play Mahjong at @Howell Opera House. Thursday, February 20, Thursday, March 20, and Thursday, April 17, at 6:30 pm.
With a nominal investment of $5 per person paid at the door, you learn the ancient Mahjong game (Chinese rules), have fun, and make new friends.
Mahjong sets will be available. We’d like to encourage you to bring your set in case we're short. Game rules/cheat sheet provided.
We want to develop this into a game night affair that folks can plan on attending regularly.

Rocky Horror Picture Show
Once again, the 70s cult film classic returns to the Howell Opera House! Dressing up as a favorite character is encouraged for the costume contest, but not required. Doors open at 8 pm, and the show begins at 9 pm There will be a cash bar and light concessions available for purchase.
Rated R - under 17 requires an accompanying parent or adult guardian.
The ticket price is $25, which includes admission for one and a participation bag.

Children & Adult Scary Storytelling
Scary Story Festival by the Ann Arbor Storytellers’ Guild
– Children’s Scary Story – Free admission – on the first floor.
- Adult Scary Story – Begins at 8:00 PM - Ages 14 and older – will take place on the second floor of the Opera House. Please note there is no heat, so if the weather is cold outside, it may be chilly in the Opera House Theater space. A donation of $25.00 includes dessert and beverages. Limited seating is available.

We have new dates for learning to play Mahjong at @Howell Opera House. Thursday, February 20, Thursday, March 20, and Thursday, April 17, at 6:30 pm.
With a nominal investment of $5 per person paid at the door, you learn the ancient Mahjong game (Chinese rules), have fun, and make new friends.
Mahjong sets will be available. We’d like to encourage you to bring your set in case we're short. Game rules/cheat sheet provided.
We want to develop this into a game night affair that folks can plan on attending regularly.

Acoustic featuring The Matthew James Adkins Band
Matthew James Adkins is a singer/songwriter recording artist from Michigan.
While he currently resides in Mason; he is originally from Howell. He released his first original album “Stone On My Own” in September of 2021 with Whistle Pig Records out of Detroit. The music on this album has been categorized as “Country Soul”. It’s a unique blend of music which incorporates grit and soul into a catchy country beat mixed with a Detroit City sound. Matt is excited to return to his hometown for the special show!
