A 3,400 sq. ft. flexible event space featuring exposed brick walls, warm track and pendant lighting, and a dedicated lobby area for guest arrival or registration. The Grand Room has a 200-person capacity, with seating for approximately 150 for weddings and receptions with tables and chairs. The space can be configured for celebrations, meetings, performances, and community gatherings. Rental options include an in-house sound system, projector & screen, a bar area, and additional event amenities to support your event.

The historic Howell Opera House is exclusively available for private events, offering a unique and memorable setting within one of Livingston County’s most treasured landmarks. All rentals include the opportunity to tour the facility, and wedding rentals also include the option for engagement or wedding photography within the building’s historic spaces. A 390 sq. ft. kitchenette-style space included with the rental of the Grand Room. While it is not a full commercial kitchen and food preparation is not permitted, caterers and renters may use the space for staging, plating, and event support. The Walnut Room can also serve as a convenient breakout area and works well for small meetings, workshops, or art classes, comfortably accommodating groups of up to 20 people.

The Livingston Arts Council (“LAC”) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The LAC exists to engage, educate, and entertain individuals of all ages through arts and cultural activities in the community and by utilizing and renovating the Howell Opera House for creative expression and social interaction. As a public charity, the LAC derives revenue from a broad base of public donations, membership fees, and income from events held at the Garland Building and Howell Opera House. In conducting its operations, the LAC follows all federal, state, and local laws, including compliance with the City of Howell’s Anti-Discrimination Ordinance 209.
