The continuing support of donors and volunteers and their interest in the Howell Opera House is making a positive difference in the vitality of downtown Howell and the community.

Thanks to numerous contributors from many generous individuals and businesses – along with state and federal grants – the first floor renovation of the Howell Opera House in 2006 and the installation of a new roof 2008 was possible.  But the endeavor to sustain the building and continue to develop and maintain quality programs and events is challenging.

Currently, raised funds through donations, fundraising events, and memberships are used for sustaining the historic building and supporting the development of quality programs and ticketed events for the enjoyment of the community. Donations of any size are always welcome, as are event sponsorships and charitable gifts.

Your philanthropic investment will make a positive difference in establishing the arts in our community for generations to come.

Volunteer

Volunteers are a valuable asset to the organization. Volunteers are needed to assist the organization during events and programs and other “housekeeping” activities throughout the year.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Selling tickets or attend check-in table

  • Greeting at the door or coat check

  • Helping with children’s activities and art table

  • Helping at the refreshment table or as bartenders

  • Stuffing envelopes for mailing campaigns

  • Becoming a member of an event or program committee

  • Joining the Bake Club to provide refreshments for the concession table at events
